Ginger Blossom Margarita
This ginger blossom margarita is a refreshing and slightly floral cocktail. It has muddled cucumbers, elderflower liqueur, ginger syrup, and tequila.
The inspiration for this margarita came from one of my favorite restaurants, North Italia. I love their Ginger Blossom Margarita, and after a few tries, I think I nailed it.
This margarita is so refreshing and the flavors of cucumber, ginger, and elderflower go so well together.
Ingredients
I tried to keep the ingredients simple, but still capture the same taste. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Fresh Cucumber
- Tequila Blanco
- Ginger Syrup
- Elderflower Liqueur
- Fresh Limes
How to Make
The cocktail at North Italia uses a cucumber puree, but to save time I decided to do muddled cucumber slices. Similar to how I make my Thai Basil and Cucumber cocktail.
You still get the same cucumber flavor and can opt to strain out the cucumbers.
After muddling the cucumbers, add the remaining ingredients to the cocktail shaker. Add some ice and shake for a few seconds to get the margarita nice and chilled.
Strain or pour the entire margarita with the ice into a glass and top off with extra ice. Garnish with a lime wedge or dehydrated lime. Enjoy!
