Ingredients for Enchilada Sauce

Dried Chile Peppers, Garlic, Salt, and Water.

De-seed and rinse the dried chilies then place in a pot. Bring to a boil until they are soft.

Add softened chilies to a blender with garlic, salt, and a little water. Blend until smooth.

Use a fine mesh strainer and with a rubber spatula or spoon to press the sauce down into a bowl until just the pulp and seeds are left.

This enchilada sauce is gluten free. This recipe does not add any flour to the sauce.

The enchilada sauce will last 5 days in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Another option is to place it in a freezer safe bag and freeze it for up to 3 months.
