Thai Sticky Rice

Thai Sticky rice is a staple in Northern Thai cuisine and can now be enjoyed in your own home using common kitchen tools.

Ingredients for Thai Sticky Rice

Glutinous Sweet Rice and Water

Soak 1 cup of Thai Sweet Rice or Glutinous Rice in a bowl with 2 cups of water for about 4 hours. or You can add hot water and soak for just 30 minutes.

Place a strainer over a skillet with water and form the rice into a patty.

Use a metal bowl to dome over the rice. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the rice is soft.

Serve immediately or keep warm in a heat proof container.
